Dealing with Domestic Crime in the Northern Quarter |
||
Good evening all,
Northern Quarter officers today have returned to normal duty, given a busy week assisting the recent Freshers Week operations ongoing around the city dealing with spiking, violence against woman and girls, licensing issues.
Today PC Barnwell has been out tackling issues involving ASB / homeless issues around the Northern Quarter in locations such as Oldham Road / William Fairburn Way / High Street to keep issues around the area under control.
Today whilst on patrol after an earlier search of a male on Oak Street nearby the Manchester Arts and Crafts Centre, this same male has been later located after reports of a domestic assault mere minutes after he has detained and searched. After a swift area search after speaking to the victim this male has been located and arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm on Hilton Street with a swift response from the Town Hall neighbourhood team to assist the lone officer.
Our team remains committed in the prevention of crime and the safeguarding of victims of domestic violence, no matter the circumstances of the person involved. A swift response from the team in ensuring the safety of our victims. No matter the circumstances nobody should have to go about their day feeling afraid and insecure on a day to day basis and our team remain committed to chasing positive outcomes from our victims.
If you know anybody that you are concerned about in regards to domestic violence, please do not hesitate to get in touch via 999 / 101 or online report.
All the best as always and thank you for your support,
